This is the first meeting between these teams in 2021-22, after the Mavericks won last season’s series 2-1 in a matchup which saw the road team triumph on all three occasions. More recently, Denver fell 122-110 at the Jazz due in part to an injury to Nikola Jokic which saw him play just 15 minutes, across which he already had 24 points, six rebounds and six assists while missing just one field goal. Meanwhile, Dallas erased a 20-point deficit to defeat San Antonio 104-99 at home yesterday despite the absence of Kristaps Porzingis, who is considered day-to-day with back stiffness.
