Cox Plate winner draws rails for return

There might be no Black Caviar but Pinker Pinker will add her weight to Saturday’s Group One Futurity Stakes at Caulfield.

As expected Peter Moody did not pay up for Black Caviar, electing to spell her instead.

He will still be represented in the 1400m event by Doubtful Jack, who has drawn the outside in gate 11.

Cox Plate winner Pinker Pinker will kick off her autumn campaign in the Futurity and has drawn barrier one, while New Zealanders King Mufhasa and Wall Street came up with gates six and nine respectively.

Peter Snowden has decided to run crack colt Sepoy in Saturday’s Group One Oakleigh Plate (1100m) in spite of his 58kg topweight.

The Darley three-year-old has an awkward barrier in 11 while Sydney filly Elite Falls has drawn the outside, 18.

Bel Sprinter, the winner of five of his six starts, has barrier five while three-year-olds Satin Shoes (three) and African Pulse (seven) also fared well.

The Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) rounds out the Group One racing at Caulfield on Saturday with the Mick Price-trained Samaready the pre-race favourite.
