Coolmore Classic 2013 has mixed barrier draw fortunes

Trainer Guy Walter has encountered mixed barrier draw fortunes with Group One-winning mares Streama and Appearance in the $600,000 Coolmore Classic at Rosehill on Saturday.

Topweight Streama has drawn gate 14 in a field of 15 while Appearance will start from barrier two.

A quartet of three-year-old fillies have been confirmed for the 1500m race, headed by Group One winners Dear Demi and Norzita.

Outstanding mare More Joyous has drawn gate four in a field of 10 which has accepted for the Group One Canterbury Stakes.

She is set to clash with her younger stablemate Pierro who will start from barrier seven.

Manighar returns to defend his Group One Ranvet Stakes crown and has come up with gate 10 in a field of 13.

Victoria Derby winner Fiveandahalfstar takes on older opponents in the Ranvet from gate four while leading trainer Chris Waller has three runners, Foreteller, Kelinni and Gatewood.
