Sportsbet.com.au punters have singled out two runners early on to take out the Christmas Stakes (1200m) this Monday at Caulfield and it does not include the favourite Duke Of Brunswick.

Sir Bacchus, trained by Chris Waller, hasn’t raced since Cup Day down the straight when finishing midfield behind Flippant. That was 55 days ago, and despite no trials/jump outs, he has been a key firmer, into $4.60 from $5.50.

The other firmer is impressive Gold Bullion (1400m) winner at Pakenham, Grande Rosso, who opened $9 and has trimmed down to $7.50. Duke Of Brunswick is the favourite but has been a slight drifter early, out to $3.80 after opening $3.60.
