Winx will have a maximum of 15 rivals when she lines up in the Group Two Chelmsford Stakes at Randwick.
The mare will be wearing earmuffs in Saturday’s race after giving her fans a scare in the Warwick Stakes when she missed the start by four lengths and had to call on her champion qualities to record her 18th successive win.
Eight of the 16 Chelmsford entries including Winx are from the Chris Waller stable with Foxplay, the horse she had to run down last time out, one of four nominations also entered for the Tramway Stakes.
Bookmaker WilliamHill.com.au has opened Winx at $1.06 in Chelmsford Stakes odds.
