Cauthen the one punters want in Telegraph Stakes 2014

Aussie punters are likely to get behind smart Kiwi colt Cauthen in Saturday’s Telegraph Stakes at Trentham.

Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au has opened the three-year-old as the $4.50 second favourite behind Waterford ($3.70). Cauthen won the McKenzie Stakes at Moonee Valley in August before heading back across the Tasman.

“Cauthen looks a pretty smart horse and there will be plenty of punters who will remember his win at the Valley. He looked impressive and went to the line with something in hand,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.

Nashville ($9.00), who is chasing his second Group 1 win here, is the only other runner under double figures.
