Last years Crown Oaks winner will miss the rest of the Spring Carnival with Lee Curtis confirming Lasqueti Spirit is off for a spell.
Lasqueti Spirit failed to beat a runner home in two attempts this preparation which included losing to Winx by 14 lengths in Saturday’s Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes.
The now 4-year-old mare broke her maiden status in last years Group 1 VRC Oaks but has failed to add to her winning record since then.
Lasqueti Spirit was nominated for both the Caulfield Cup and 2017 Melbourne Cup.
