Boom Time draws barrier 10 in Japan Cup

Boom Time has drawn barrier 10 in the Japan Cup field of 17 with favourite Kitasan Black to jump from four.

Caulfield Cup winner Boom Time represents Lindsay Park whose head trainer David Hayes won the Japan Cup in 1990 with Better Loosen Up.

Cory Parish has retained the ride for Sunday’s 2400m-race.

Hugh Bowman’s mount Cheval Grand has the inside draw while Ryan Moore rides Idaho from gate 14.

Moore is Bowman’s only rival to be named the year’s leading Group One jockey by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities.

Bowman will be based in Japan until December 24 and also has rides at the International meeting in Hong Kong on December 10.
