Bookies can’t lay a bet at Rosehill

Online bookmaker Sportsbet is struggling to write a bet on Saturday’s Run To The Rose with a likely heavy track and an inexperienced field of runners without much wet form its not wonder they are finding it hard.

Taken from Sportsbet.com.au‘s blog:

Sydney’s big wet is proving a thorn for punters trying to find the winner of the Run To the Rose tomorrow.

Smart three-year-old Almalad heads betting on $4.20, but online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au reports little action on the Rosehill Group 3.

“Almalad is the best backed runner, but the money isn’t flowing like the rain has been. With the track rated a heavy nine punters are just treading warily,’’ sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne said..

With confirmation that Nostradamus would be running that colt is second best backed, firming from $5.50 into $5.00. Sarajevo ($6.50) has been on the outer all week and that trend continues.
