Dual Group 2 winner Don’t Doubt Mamma has had her career cut short after the discovery that the mare had a bone disease.
Trainer Tony McEvoy noticed a change in her action early in her preparation and sent the mare for scans which subsequent revealed the bone issue.
“We will really miss this mare, horses like her are hard to replace,” McEvoy told Racing.com.
Don’t Doubt Mamma amassed over $640,000 in earnings from seventeen career starts including Group 2 wins in the Let’s Elope Stakes and Stocks Stakes.
