Blacks A Fake Tips, Race Preview and Selections – Albion Park Races 24/7/2021

It’s the jewel in the crown of Queensland pacing and the Group 1 Blacks A Fake headlines another enormous program at Albion Park on Saturday night!

Some of the country’s best trotters will step out in a capacity Blacks A Fake field, and it perhaps comes as no surprise that King Of Swing has opened a very clear $1.22 favourite in betting.

It would take an enormous effort for something to knock him off, but have I put him on top? You can find my complete 2021 Blacks A Fake Tips below.

Blacks A Fake – Winner

No. 1 King Of Swing

I certainly have – it would take a far braver man than me to take on King Of Swing in the Blacks A Fake.

His campaign has been nothing short of outstanding, and almost completely faultless, and King Of Swing has been set for this race, so I’m expecting him to be at his absolute best on Saturday.

He only just missed in the Group 1 Sunshine Sprint last week, and I am extremely confident that he will go one better in the Blacks A Fake.

Blacks A Fake – 2nd

No. 3 Spirit Of St Louis

He was an impressive winner in Group 3 company last week, and Spirit Of St Louis looks to be the value in Blacks A Fake betting at his current quote ($26 at publish).

The talented son of Sweet Lou won three in succession before finishing a credible sixth, beaten five metres in the Group 1 The Rising Sun here a fortnight ago.

Given his effort over the same trip last week, I think that he can make the most of his drawn and fight out the finish again.

Blacks A Fake – 3rd

No. 5 Copy That

Copy That snuck home to beat King Of Swing in the Sunshine Sprint last week, and a similar effort would see him into the finish of the Blacks A Fake.

He returned a rare flat effort over the ditch in New Zealand in June, but he has been outstanding since returning to Australia, winning in Listed company and finishing second in The Rising Sun prior to his Sunshine Sprint triumph.

He is in peak order for this contest and rates as a key threat to the favourite once more.

Blacks A Fake – 4th

No. 10 Expensive Ego

Expensive Ego finished a close-up third in The Rising Sun here a fortnight ago, but he is another pacer whose campaign has been otherwise faultless, and he can return another competitive effort in the Blacks A Fake.

The son of Rock N Roll Heaven won the Group 1 Pacing Gold Final at Melton in May, and recorded a couple of eye-catching wins here at Albion Park leading into The Rising Sun.

He is rock-hard fit and needs only even luck in running to fight into the Blacks A Fake first four.
