Race 1 – 11:30am – Maiden Plate (1400m)

Schuhbeck has been a very consistent young racehorse without breaking through for a maiden win thus far in his short career.

The son of Snitzel has placed in six of his seven career starts including a narrow defeat first up at Benalla.

We will see the blinkers go back on and he’s drawn perfectly in barrier three.

Race 2 – 12:00pm – Maiden Plate (1100m)

Extreme Emotion will make her racing debut in the second race of the day and has been well supported in betting.

This is a race that I am not keen to bet into.

Race 3 – 12:35pm – Benchmark 78 Handicap (1100m)

This is a good quality Benchmark 78 over 1100m with a few well performed horses.

The Billionaire started this campaign with a second to the very smart Starry Legend before scoring by over two lengths at Morphettville last time out.

Brenlyn’s Trooper was only narrowly denied in the Listed A.R Creswick Stakes at Flemington back in June and a saver on that horse is recommended.

Race 4 – 1:10pm – Benchmark 64 Handicap (1300m)

Tramontana showed that he is a colt with some ability when breaking through for his maiden race victory at Ballarat three weeks ago, winning by two lengths on the line.

The son of Toronado was then narrowly defeated when stepping out at Flemington before finishing second at Ballarat last start.

With an eye on sharpening him up, the blinkers will be added again.

Race 5 – 1:45pm – Benchmark 78 Handicap (1400m)

Ruby Street has placed in seven of her 12 career race starts and managed a first up win at Flemington to kick start this campaign.

She was no match for them in the Group 2 Gilgai Stakes or the Group 2 Tristarc Stakes but will appreciate the huge drop back in class for this race.

Drawn well and Glen Boss steers.

Race 6 – 2:20pm – Benchmark 64 Handicap (1100m)

Joltin’ Joe is massive overs in the sixth race of the afternoon at $21.

He was a dominant winner at Moe three back before finishing second at The Valley over 1200m.

The four year old gelding then ran into a heavy track at Moe where he was beaten just over two lenghs last start.

The barrier will be tricky but he is a great each way bet.

Race 7 – 3:00pm – Group 3 Bendigo Cup (2400m)

Tooradin has been in consistent form throughout this prep and he put together back to back wins at Caulfield and Flemington before finishing seventh in the Herbert Power.

He did a power of work in front which the race up well for the winner Delphi but I was impressed with the way he was still responding late in the race.

He’s being asked to carry just 54kg and will be rock hard fit at this stage in his prep.

Race 8 – 3:40pm – Benchmark 70 Handicap (1600m)

Harry Coffey piloted Tibetan to victory last start at Echuca from the back of the field and he will improve on that effort at a big price.

Trodaire has been racing consistently in recent starts and the four year old was very good from the back of the field to finish third at Caulfield last start.

He will appreciate the step back in class for this.

Race 9 – 4:20pm – Benchmark 70 Handicap (1300m)

Andandiman was an impressive winner at Geelong when making his racing debut back in January and he went on to close out his first campaign in the Group 2 Autumn Classic at Caulfield.

He was well beaten that day behind Parure but he is a lightly raced horse with plenty of ability.

We will see the horse for the first time as a gelding in this first up assignment and he represents good each way value at the double figure odds.
