Victorian fillies Girl In Flight, May’s Dream and Scratchy Bottom dominate betting on the $400,000 Australasian Oaks at Morphettville on Saturday.

The trio are the only runners under double figures in first markets with Girl In Flight ($4) shading May’s Dream for favouritism ($4.20).

Both will have to overcome wide barriers with Girl In Flight drawing gate 15 and May’s Dream allocated stall 13.

The Robbie Griffiths-trained Girl In Flight has a last-start decision over May’s Dream to her credit, earning Oaks favouritism with her Group Three win at Morphettville on April 12.

They were spilt across the line by the Peter Moody-trained In Masquerade who is an $11 chance on Saturday.

May’s Dream is a Brad Rawiller mount with the Melbourne regarded as an excellent chance to land a Group One Adelaide double on Saturday after picking up the ride on Robert Sangster Stakes favourite Platelet.

The Mick Kent-trained Scratchy Bottom has been installed at $6.50 after drawing the best of the favoured runners in gate seven.

Scratchy Bottom has been kept fresh since her last-start fifth against the colts and geldings in the Alister Clark Stakes at Moonee Valley on March 14.
