Last years Crown Oaks winner will miss the rest of the Spring Carnival with Lee Curtis confirming Lasqueti Spirit is off for a spell.
Lasqueti Spirit failed to beat a runner home in two attempts this preparation which included losing to Winx by 14 lengths in Saturday’s Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes.
The now 4-year-old mare broke her maiden status in last years Group 1 Crown Oaks but has failed to add to her winning record since then.
Lasqueti Spirit was nominated for both the Caulfield Cup and 2017 Melbourne Cup.
Lasqueti Spirit has pulled up well but clearly hasn’t come up this prep and will be spelled and saved for the autumn. @AndrewBensley
