Though evidently under-performed in both the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate and Group 1 William Reid Stakes, the Manhattan Rain filly has a big chance at redemption here, drawn very softly in a field of 10.
She Will Reign’s class jumps off the page when glancing over the form, a dual Group 1 winner with $3,190,400 in prizemoney to her name, and perhaps an odds-on pop barring her last 2 starts.

The Golden Slipper winner will this weekend find classy runners in Catchy and Houtzen, but as for the rest of the field, The Everest runner will not know herself with very little Group 1 starts between them.
She Will Reign has drawn barrier 2 with Golden Slipper winner Ben Melham on board. It will be a huge waiting game for punters who have taken the apparent overs in the early markets, assuming She Will Reign is an easy victor providing she can find her best form.
Early favorites for the race are Viridine ($3.50) and I Am Excited ($4.60).
