Support is growing for Irish galloper Adelaide to win Saturday’s Sportingbet Cox Plate.
Since last week, punters have backed the Aidan O’Brien-trained horse from $10 into a $7.50 third pick with race sponsor Sportingbet.com.au.

“We took a $5,000 bet at $9 on Friday and the big punters haven’t thought twice about taking the $8 on offer over the weekend,” Sportingbet’s Andrew Brown said.
“If this support continues and he draws a decent gate on Tuesday, we could be seeing $6 on the day.”
Fawkner maintains $4 favouritism at Sportingbet in front of Sacred Falls at $4.60. Criterion ($8) and Happy Trails ($9) are the other runners under double figures.
Crowd favourite The Cleaner is a $15 shot at Sportingbet.
