Perth star Luckygray holds top position in CB Cox Stakes betting with online bookmaker Sportsbet despite his defeat at Ascot last Saturday.
Luckygray is the $3.50 favourite, ahead of arch-rival Mr Moet ($4.00) and Kingston Town Stakes winner Ihtsahymn ($5.00).
“Take nothing away from Ihtsahymn he deserved his win, but Luckygray had no luck early in the Kingston Town. Ihtsahym may not run in the Cox, but if he does the top three in betting look as though they will fight it out,’’ sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.
Meanwhile, injury plagued gelding Rohan ($5.00) heads the market for next month’s Perth Cup after a strong third in the Kingston Town Classic.
