Wyndham Championship Golf Tips, Odds and Betting – 2021

The final event of the PGA Tour regular season gets underway this weekend from the Sedgefield Country Club in North Carolina.

Several big names like Hideki Matsuyama and Louis Oosthuizen will be looking to hone their craft ahead of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, while others like Will Zalatoris simply need to win to book their ticket to the Northern Trust.

Last year’s scoring average at this event was 68, placing an enormous premium on putting and greens in regulation.

The Wyndham Championship is the perfect event to build a bank ahead of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, and you can find out who we’re backing below!

2021 Wyndham Championship Best Bet

Sungjae Im at $26.00

Really tough choice between some of the favourites this week, particularly with a proven Sedgefield stud like Webb Simpson and the always consistent Louis Oosthuizen in the field.

That said, Sungjae Im’s recent form is just as good, so I think he’s a little over the odds at 26-1.

The Korean owns a pair of Top 10 finishes at Sedgefield in two appearances, while he’s also made the cut in his last six tournaments.

Stats-wise, he gets a big tick across the board ranking 17th in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee and 44th in Putting. Im knows the ins and outs of this course well, so everything points towards another big weekend.

2021 Wyndham Championship Best Value

Rickie Fowler at $46.00

Fowler’s ups and downs over the last couple of years are well documented, but he’s shown some encouraging signs of late to suggest a turnaround might be imminent.

The 32-year-old strung together a couple of strong rounds at Royal St George’s last month before a T34 finish at the 3M Open in Minnesota.

He’s struggled with the putter at times this year, but I like the fact he ranks second in Strokes Gained: Putting on Bermudagrass.

We know the greens at Sedgefield are fast, so with some experience on this surface I think Fowler might surprise a few people.

2021 Wyndham Championship Best Roughie

Brandt Snedeker at $46.00

Snedeker let us down last week at the Barracuda Championship, but he’s got the runs on the board at Sedgefield to make him worthy of a mulligan.

The American won this tournament back in 2018 and owns four finishes inside the Top 10.

Snedeker’s putting and short game are two of his biggest strengths, which should help him greatly on a course he knows better than most.
