The PGA Tour heads to Ohio on Friday morning (AEDT) as the Muirfield Village Golf Club plays host to the inaugural Workday Charity Open.
Punters that like a favourite have likely enjoyed golf since the restart with several household names like Webb Simpson, Dustin Johnson and Bryson Dechambeau winning in recent weeks.
Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay are the best options in this week’s market, while Aussie Marc Leishman also looks a real threat at a very handy price.

Workday Charity Open Best Bet
Patrick Cantlay at $13.00
Cantlay is a wizard at Muirfield having won the Memorial Tournament here last year.
He’ll defend his title next week on the same course, but there’s nothing stopping him from doing the double.
The 28-year-old turned in a stunning final round 65 at TPC River Highlands a fortnight ago to finish T11 and currently ranks third in average birdies made.
He’ll take some beating here on a course he knows exceptionally well.
Workday Charity Open Best Value
Marc Leishman at $41.00
Also over the odds when you consider international players won 11 tournaments prior to the COVID shutdown.
Leishman has also been money on this course finishing T5 twice with four T15’s.
Also one the PGA’s best player right now when approaching the green.
Workday Charity Open Best Roughie
Jim Furyk at $126.00
The 50-year-old veteran hasn’t won on Tour since 2015, but if you’re looking to throw something very small down on a roughie, Furyk might be your guy.
Statically speaking, he shapes up very well for a decent weekend at Muirfield.
As discussed earlier, this course calls for accuracy off the tee and around the greens – two areas Furyk excels in.
He currently ranks first on Tour in driving accuracy percentage and first in greens in regulation.
Workday Charity Open Top 10 Finish
Jon Rahm at $2.38
The Spaniard hasn’t been at his best since the restart, but we know that won’t last long.
Rahm kicked off the Travelers with a bang carding an opening round 66 before the final day cost him a spot closer to the Top 10.
He’s now had a couple weeks off to recuperate and should be better for it.
Workday Charity Open Field
Justin Thomas at $11.00
Muirfield Village looks to be the perfect bounce-back course for Justin Thomas after missing the cut a fortnight ago at the Travelers Championship. The American owns two Top 10s in his last five visits, while his outright eighth at Harbour Town three weeks back was also an encouraging sign.
Brooks Koepka at $15.00
Golf is ten times better when Brooks Koepka is on his game, so it’s exciting to think he’s now shaken off his previous form slump following an outright seventh at Harbour Town three weeks back. On the down side though, this course calls for a bit of everything, so it’s tough to back him based on his putting performances thus far.
Hideki Matsuyama at $17.00
As expected, Matsuyama bounced back nicely last week after missing the cut at Harbour Town to finish T21 in Detroit. The 28-year-old is well over the odds again this week considering he won on this same course back in 2014 alongside two other Top 20 performances. He isn’t the longest driver of the ball off the tee, but he’s still an all-around stud that should be coming very close on a course he knows well.
Xander Schauffele at $19.00
Mixed results since the start of the year, but a T20 at TPC River Highland a fortnight ago looks encouraging. Schauffele’s one of the best on Tour with the putter this season, and if he can focus on accuracy off the tee, he could be in the mix.
