Bubba Watson of the United States has won the 76th Masters at Augusta National on Sunday on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff against Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa.
The two finished the 72 holes at 10-under par 278.
Two strokes further back on 280 in a share of second place were a quartet comprising Lee Westwood of England (68), Americans Matt Kuchar (69) and Phil Mickelson (72) and Peter Hanson of Sweden (73).
It was Watson’s first win in a major and he is just the third left-hander to win the Masters.
Adam Scott stormed home with a six under 66, including a hole-in-one to move to four-under-par and tied for eighth as the best Australian.
