Travelers Championship Tips, Odds and Betting – 2020 TPC River Highlands

Golf is officially back in full swing as the 2020 Travelers Championship tees off on Friday morning from TPC at River Highlands.

Webb Simpson came through for punters that followed our RBC Heritage tips last week, and there’s once again plenty of value on offer with several of the world’s Top 50 golfers venturing east to Connecticut.

We’ve previewed all the big names and offer our best bets in our 2020 Travelers Championship Preview below.

Travelers Championship Best Bet

Bryson Dechambeau to win at $13.00

We tipped the 26-year-old to break through for his sixth win on Tour last week at Harbour Town, and boy was he close.

Dechambeau’s third-round 70 was his ultimate undoing, but it was nice to see him bounce-back with a final round 66 to finish -17 under.

He’s now found the Top 10 in each of his last five events and was also T8 at the Travelers last year. Happy to stick with him.

Travelers Championship Best Value

Abraham Ancer to win at $34.00

We should find out plenty about the makeup of Ancer following last week’s crushing defeat at Harbour Town.

The 29-year-old hit every green across all four rounds, but still came up short finishing outright second behind Webb Simpson.

I’ve been a big fan of Ancer’s since his impressive performance at the President’s Cup last year, and he should be plenty motivated to earn his first win on Tour this week after finishing T8 last year at TPC River Highlands.

Travelers Championship Best Roughie

Bubba Watson to win at $34.00

Bit of history on the line here for Bubba.

The three-time winner could join Billy Casper as the only other golfer to win the Traveler’s on four separate occasions with a win this weekend.

The veteran has been in some form too since the restart with a T7 at Colonial a fortnight ago.

Travelers Championship Top 10 Finish

Patrick Cantlay to win at $3.50

Well rested and poised to strike.

The American has sat out the last two events since the restart, but if he picks up where he left off earlier in the year, he should prove tough to beat.

Cantlay finished outright fourth at the Tournament of Champions, T11 at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and T17 at The Genesis Invitational.

Has also turned in back-to-back T15’s at this event over the last two years.

Travelers Championship Field

Justin Thomas at $13.00

Last week’s T8 at Harbour Town made it three Top 10 finishes in a row for Thonmas.

He’s been in sparkling form all year really if you overlook two missed cuts at the Sony Open and the The Genesis Invitational earlier in the year, while he should feel right at home on this course after finishing T3 back in 2016.

Rory McIlroy at $13.00

Tough go for the Irishman since the Tour resumed finishing outside the Top 30 at both the Charles Schwab and the RBC Heritage over the last fortnight.

McIlroy is ranked No. 1 in the world for a reason though, and the fact he owns a pair of Top 20 finishes at this event certainly helps his cause.

Expect a bounce back.

Jon Rahm at $19.00

The Spaniard has struggled since the restart missing the cut at the Charles Schwab before a T33 last week at Harbour Town, but we know just by looking at his results earlier in the year that he can’t be overlooked.

Prior to the season pause, Rahm finished Top 10 in four of his five appearances.

Webb Simpson at $21.00

Simpson was our ‘Best Roughie’ bet last week and he delivered in a big way with a well-deserved win at Harbour Town.

He’s been a weapon all over the course this year ranking first in birdie average and 10th in greens in regulation.

Just like last week, he’s got some form around TPC River Highlands with three Top 15 finishes.

Brooks Koepka at $21.00

Finally arrived back on the scene last week with a Top 10 at Harbour Town after a very rough start to the year.

Loves this tournament making the cut on all four occasions with a pair of Top 20 finishes to suit.

Xander Schauffele at $26.00

Failed to fire last week at Harbour Town, but couldn’t have been more impressive the week prior with a T3 at the Charles Schwab.

Finished T14 at the Travelers back in 2017 before missing the cut a year later.

Justin Rose at $26.00

Rose finally returns to TPC River Highlands following a lengthy seven year absence.

He was a horse for this course once upon a time finishing Top 10 twice with as many Top 20 finishes.

Well overdue for a win.

Dustin Johnson at $26.00

Looks to finally be on the mend after some back issues toward the end of last season.

Missed the cut at the Charles Schwab but rebounded nicely with a T17 last week at Harbour Town.

Having his first look at this course since 2014.
