“Woods has an incredible winning record on the course and is entitled to be favourite,” Sportingbet.com.au spokesman Andrew Brown said.
Recent Scottish Open and British Open winner Phil Mickelson is a $15 equal second favourite with Australia’s Adam Scott. Matt Kuchar and Brandt Snedeker are on the next line of betting at $21.
“Mickelson certainly goes into the tournament as the form player but his past performances at Firestone haven’t exactly been up to par,” Brown said.
Australia’s Jason Day is a $26 chance at Sportingbet.
Sportingbet is paying each-way down to 5th place in their outright winner market.
