Spieth, Garcia lead at Cherry Hills

American young gun Jordan Spieth and Spain’s Sergio Garcia have pushed into the lead while the Australian tilt continues to flounder midway through the second round of the US PGA tour’s penultimate playoff event at Cherry Hills Country Club in Colorado.

Spieth, who recently announced he will play this years Australian Open, has moved to five under for the tournament through eight holes, while Garcia joins him after 11 holes to lead by one over Canadian Graham DeLaet.

John Senden is the best Australian at even par in a tie for 23rd, while the seven other Australians are two over par or worse.
