Scott underway in 3rd round at Aust PGA

World No.3 Adam Scott is underway in his third round at the Australian PGA Championship on the Gold Coast.

Scott, teeing off from second at seven-under-par, is playing alongside leading pair Wade Ormsby (-9) and Scott Strange (-9) on Saturday in cool but clear conditions at Royal Pines.

American Boo Weekley, the first round leader, has made a strong start to his third round, picking up a shot on his first hole to join Scott on seven-under-par.

Australia’s David Bransdon has picked up three shots through his first six holes to move to four under overall to be the biggest mover so far in the third round.

South Australian Ormsby, who is staying at Scott’s Gold Coast home during the tournament, will be looking forward to testing himself alongside the defending champion.

They’ll be joined by West Australia’s Strange, who made birdie on his final hole on Friday to join Ormsby in a share of the overnight lead.
