South African golfer Louis Oosthuizen won the co-sanctioned Malaysian Open by three shots on Sunday, just a week after his US Masters play-off loss to Bubba Watson.
Oosthuizen shot rounds of 66, 68, 69 and 68 to close 17 under par at par-72 Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club, finishing ahead of Scotland’s Stephen Gallacher in the $2.5 million European and Asian Tour event.
Last year’s Masters champion Charl Schwartzel was sixth, six shots back, while defending champion Matteo Manassero and former world number one Martin Kaymer were both in seventh spot.
