SAINT-JEAN-DE-LUZ, France, Oct 7 AAP – Stacey Keating secured back-to-back victories on the Ladies European Tour by coming from three shots down to win the French Open by one stroke.
The 26-year-old Australian, whose victory last time out in Tenerife was her first on the tour, began the final day trailing leader Diana Luna by three but a six-under-par round of 64 was enough to recover for victory, one ahead of the Italian (68).
Keating finished with a four-round total of 14 under 266 at Chantaco Golf Club in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, south-west France.
American Hannah Jun and Azahara Munoz of Spain both shot 66 to share third place at 11 under while Mexican Lorena Ochoa, the former world number one who came out of retirement for this event as a favour to her sponsors, finished in a tie for 22nd, 13 strokes down.
Keating opened the event with a career-best eight-under 62, continuing the hot from the Canary Islands two weeks earlier.
