Paraguay’s Julieta Granada has a two-shot lead after the opening round of the LPGA Tour’s season finale in Florida.

Granada is six-under-par ahead of Germany’s Sandra Gal who is outright second and one stroke clear of Swede Caroline Hedwall, American Stacy Lewis and Spaniard Belen Mozo.

Sarah Jane Smith is the best-placed Australian at two under in a tie for sixth.

The season finale on the LPGA Tour is the conclusion to the Race to CME Globe that pays a $US1 million ($A1.08 million) bonus.

Only the top nine players in the LPGA standings can win the bonus.
