Spanish star Sergio Garcia and world No.1 Tiger Woods have surged into the top two places on the leader board late in the second round of the lucrative US PGA Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Florida.
Garcia fired a seven-under-par 65 to move to 11-under for the tournament, good enough to lead Woods by one after the 14-time major champion carded his second consecutive 67 to sit at 10-under par.
Marc Leishman is the best of the Australian’s after an impressive 66 moved him to six-under and into a tie for 10th, just five shots off the lead
Masters champion Adam Scott is five-under with eight holes to play.
