Campbell, King eyeing European tour cards

Australians Nikki Campbell and Sarah King remain on track to secure a start on next year’s Ladies European Tour after strong third round performances at tour school in Morocco.

Campbell (69) and King (70) moved into a share of fifth position at 10-under, just four shots back from Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn.

Jutanugarn moved to the top of the leaderboard after an impressive eight-under 64.

The 141-woman field is spilt over the Al Maaden and Amelkis Resorts over the first four days, playing two rounds on each of the courses.

After 72 holes, the field will be cut at 60 plus ties for the fifth and final round on the Al Maaden Golf Resort, which will decide the top 30 full cards plus ties on offer for the 2013 Ladies European Tour.

West Australian Whitney Hillier is the next best placed Australian in a tie for 15th at seven-under after posting a 69.

New Zealand’s Cathryn Bristow (68) and Victorian Breanna Elliott (71) share 30th place at four-under.

The current projected cut for top 60 and ties is one-under.

Kiwi Emily Perry (73) and Tasmanian Ashlee Dewhurst (70) sit just two shots outside the projected cut in a tie for 74th.

Queenslander Katelyn Must (three over) is tied for 91st, while Tamara Johns (four over) is tied 103rd.
