The second edition of the Bermuda Championship tees off from Port Royal Golf Club in Bermuda on Friday with a  $3 million prize-fund on offer.

A shallow field of names will be in attendance with the Masters only a fortnight away, making betting difficult with only a few familiar faces hitting the links following last week’s thrilling end to the Zozo Championship.

Will Zalatoris and last year’s winner Brendon Todd headline the top line of betting, while the rest remains a bit of a coin flip.

Doc Redman at $29.00

I’ve been a big fan of Redman over the last six months and this does look a tournament he can finally breakthrough and win.

The 22-year-old has held his own finishing tied for third in three of his last five starts to go along with seven Top 30 finishes since play resumed.

He’s been as consistent as they come from tee-to-green and also has some experience at Port Royal finishing outright 35th at this event last year.

Brendon Todd at $15.00

With so much water around, this course calls more for finesse than it does power, so you’ll want to back a player that has no trouble finding the greens on a consistent basis.

Look no further than the defending champ Brendon Todd.

The American looked well on his way to a fourth Tour win last week at Sherwood before a disappointing final round 70 saw him slip to T41.

Todd wasn’t disgraced finishing -11 under mind you, while he also finished well above average in Strokes Gained: Putting, and Greens in Regulation.

The irons haven’t been his strong suit, but his distance off the tee and strong putting make him a good bet to repeat.

Brice Garnett at $101.00

Why not back a veteran to show up a few of these younger guys?

Brice Garnett has won only once on the PGA Tour, but his consistent short game should suit Port Royal based on the way he’s been hitting greens of late.

The 37-year-old actually won the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic back in 2018, so there’s off chance he might go well again here in the Caribbean.
