Beljan’s wild week ends with a win

Charlie Beljan has enjoyed his maiden PGA Tour Victory at Walt Disney resort on Sunday after overcoming a first round panic attack.

The 28-year-old rookie closed with a bogey for a 3-under 69 and a two-shot win, after admitting to feeling unwell at the start of the final day.

Beljan, who said he felt as if he was going to die Friday from a panic attack that sent him to the hospital, ran off four straight birdies around the turn and built a five-shot lead on the back nine.

After clinching the win the American, who was in danger of losing his card in the final event of the year and now has a two-year exemption, threw his putter and repeatedly pumped his fists and embraced his wife and newborn child.
