Barracuda Championship Golf Tips, Odds and Betting – 2021 Tahoe Mountain Club

Only two weeks remain before the FedEx Cup Playoffs, making this weekend’s Barracuda Championship vitally important to several up-and-coming players looking to earn a spot.

Several big names are missing due to the Olympics, but with 300 FedEx Cup points up for grabs, we should be in for a very competitive weekend of golf at the Old Greenwood course in California.

Two-time major winner Collin Morikawa claimed his first win on TOUR at this event back in 2019 and several young names are looking to follow in his footsteps.

2021 Barracuda Championship Best Bet

Emiliano Grillo at $19.00

The Argentinian is the pick of the favourites for mine as he looks to bounce-back from missing the cut at the 3M Open two weeks ago.

The 28-year-old finished T9 at this event last year and is also one of the more reliable putters on TOUR ranking 28th in birdie average.

Those that can sink birdies at Old Greenwood should find themselves towards the top of the leaderboard on the final day, while the fact Grillo ranks fifth in Greens in Regulation is also a plus.

2021 Barracuda Championship Best Value

Brandt Snedeker at $31.00

The 40-year-old is easy to overlook, but he’s actually been playing some good golf of late to suggest he can perform well this week.

Snedeker has made the cut in his last three events, which include a strong T19 at The Open Championship before a T11 at the 3M Open a fortnight ago.

He’s making his Old Greenwood debut, but the fact he ranks 44th on TOUR in Strokes Gained: Putting reads well. Has also won some big tournaments in California including the Farmers Insurance Open and the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

2021 Barracuda Championship Best Roughie

Thomas Pieters at $34.00

There aren’t many I like at long odds this week, so I’ll play it a little safer with Belgium’s Thomas Pieters at the current quote.

It’s hard to say how much gas the 29-year-old has left in the tank, but if he plays like he did in Tokyo on the way to a T16, I think he’ll be in the mix.
