BEST BET
JOHANNES VEERMAN
A talented American who looks a huge chance this week, recording two wins already on the DP World Tour including the Nedbank Golf Challenge at the start of this season.
Now has eight straight tournaments with positive strokes gained off the tee that has netted a win and five more Top 16 finishes.
He ranks second in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee, seventh in Par 5 Scoring and 13th in Putting Average.
An excellent bet in this market
BEST VALUE
ANGEL AYORA
The big swinging Spaniard ranks first in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee and 11th in Driving Distance and that puts him well in the mix, as does ranking 15th in Bogey Avoidance.
The 20yo is well and truly on the up and started the season strong with two Top 6 finishes in five starts since being elevated from the Challenge Tour.
Very suitable setup for him to contend here.
IVAN CANTERO
Another heavy hitter from Spain, we have been riding Ivan Cantero for a while and with such a perfect course, he is an excellent proposition this week now he has rediscovered his form.
Cantero ranks eighth in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee and 10th in Driving Distance.
Comes off a nice fifth at Al Hamra last week.
On the back of six straight made cuts including two Top 6 finishes, he is a play.
BEST ROUGHIES
MARCUS ARMITAGE
Englishman Marcus Armitage is wildly inconsistent but after a stellar showing last week at Al Hamra and the big price next to his name, he looks a super play.
Armitage finished a clear second and gained 2.98 true strokes on the field.
Ranks third in Par 5 Scoring, fourth in Scrambling, sixth in Putting Average and seventh in Bogey Avoidance so profiles tremendously.
DAVID RAVETTO
Frenchman who ranks 13th in Driving Distance and that is good enough to include him here. Also ranks 15th in Par 5 Scoring, another major tick.
Finished 13th in at Al Hamra last week while was T-21 in the Singapore Classic last year, a key guide.
TOP AUSTRALIAN
DAVID MICHELUZZI
Micheluzzi was again in the mix last week, continuing his strong form on the DP World Tour.
Surprised to see black figures on offer for him in this tournament.
TOP ENGLISH
SAM BAIRSTOW
Englishman who ranks ninth in Driving Distance.
Absolutely has the ability to best some more highly-fancied compatriots.
