Aussie Lunn in contention in Morocco

Australian golfer Karen Lunn is well-placed to secure her 10th Ladies European Tour title at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco.

Lunn was just one stroke behind leader Jade Schaeffer of France heading into final round.

Due to weather delays, the mjority of players faced a marathon day on Saturday and 46-year-old Lunn was no exception, playing 32 holes before signing off on a third round of five-under-par 66 to be at seven under the card at Golf de L’Ocean in Agadir.

Working on her short game has paid dividends for Lunn, won the ALPG event in Canberra earlier in the year.

“I have played really well this week and started to putt a bit better, which I haven’t done since Canberra,” Lunn said.
