The odds of Adam Scott defending his US Masters title have firmed from $9.50 into $8.50 at Sportingbet following the news that four-time Masters champion Tiger Woods will miss the tournament.
Scott is a clear second favourite at Sportingbet behind Rory McIlroy, who also firmed from $8.50 into $7.50.
Jason Day’s odds were cut from $19 into $15 and the Australian is an equal third favourite with Phil Mickelson.
“Adam and Jason both have the week off so they will be nice and fresh heading into Augusta,” Sportingbet’s Andrew Brown said.
“With doubts surrounding Phil Mickelson’s fitness they could start the tournament at even shorter odds.”
