Miss Lauryn, the daughter of 2009 Darwin Cup winner Queen Lauryn, is a $1.70 favourite at Sportingbet Australia to follow in her mother’s paw prints and win Friday night’s Darwin Cup final over the 537m at Winnellie Park.
“She’ll be very tough to beat from box 1 and we expect most of the money will come for her,” Sportingbet Australia spokesman Andrew Brown said.
Victorian visitor Take It All is a $3.50 second favourite at Sportingbet.com.au after drawing wide in box 6.
“Take It All was a bit slow in his heat so he might need a bit of luck from his wide box,” Brown said.
Catwalk, which recorded the quickest time in the heats, is a $7.50 equal third favourite with Swansea Jacky.
“Swansea Jacky looks to be the best of the local hopes,” Brown said.
