Charles Leclerc has put Ferrari on pole position for the Austrian Grand Prix, with Formula One leader Lewis Hamilton second fastest for Mercedes but subject to a stewards’ enquiry for alleged impeding.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, last year’s winner at his team’s home circuit, qualified third on Saturday.
Australia’s Daniel Ricciardo qualified 12th for Renault.
The pole was Leclerc’s second of the season and Ferrari’s first in Austria since Michael Schumacher in 2003.
Teammate Sebastian Vettel failed to set a lap time in the final top 10 shootout after a mechanical problem.
