Bangladesh were bowled out for 556 in their first innings on the fourth day of the first Test in Dhaka on Friday, taking a slender 29-run lead over the West Indies.
The score is the highest score by Bangladesh in their Test history.
Replying to the tourists’ total of 4(dec)-527, Nasir Hossain missed his maiden hundred when dismissed for 96 after Bangladesh resumed at 6-455.
Naeem Islam had earlier scored 108.
Ravi Rampaul and spinner Sunil Narine were the pick of the West Indies’ bowlers with three wickets apiece.
