The 2013 symbolic yellow jersey, known as the ‘Maillot Jaune’ draws on its rich heritage taking inspiration from the original 1951 Tour jersey that the Le Coq Sportif designed. To further celebrate the milestone, Le Coq Sportif has included a translucent Moor’s Head imprint on the body of the jersey in recognition of the island Corsica, which will host the starting line of the race on June 29th.
This year, the jersey features a mix of high-tech materials, ensuring a genuinely aerodynamic lightweight jersey. Enhanced by transparent silicone brands on the waist and sleeves, the jersey will stay in place and act as wind barriers and the elastane-mix sleeves are designed for enhanced comfort.
