Unsurprisingly, the men who were hot on his tail at the Australian Road Championship, Richie Porte ($7.00) and Cadel Evans ($9.00), are next in the market.
Despite Gerrans being tipped to be the overall winner, the veteran finds himself at $11 to win the first stage, with teenager Caleb Ewan the $9.00 favourite to take the points on day one.
