Windies to bat after winning toss in T20

Australia will bowl first in the Twenty20 international in St Lucia after the West Indies won the toss and chose to bat.

Australia have made two changes from the final one-day international at the same venue on Sunday, with fast bowler James Pattinson and allrounder Dan Christian coming into the team.

Batsman Peter Forrest and fast bowler Ben Hilfenhaus make way for the game, which is the first of two T20s.

The Windies suffered a blow in the build-up to the match with the news allrounder Andre Russell had been ruled out of the series with a hamstring strain.

No replacement was named for Russell for Tuesday’s match although another player will be added to the squad for the final T20 in Barbados on Friday.

Fast bowler Fidel Edwards and batsman Marlon Samuels are the two players who miss out from the remaining West Indies players.

The game begins at 2pm (0500 Wednesday AEDT).
