David Warner is being investigated over allegations he was involved in a physical altercation with an England player.
Cricket Australia say they are aware of the alleged alcohol-related incident and are in the process of advising what Warner’s punishment will be.
Reports emerging suggest the England player is batsman Joe Root, however CA refused to confirm details.
Warner is still with the team in Birmingham despite rumours coming out of the New Zealand camp that he’d been sent home.
The batsman is unlikely to play in Wednesday’s Champions Trophy game against New Zealand at Edgbaston.
Warner has been no stranger to controversy in recent times and was recently involved in a twitter squabble with two Australian journalists and subsequently fined.
