Vics set WA 367 to win Shield game

Victoria have set Western Australia a target of 367 for victory in the Sheffield Shield match against Western Australia at the WACA Ground.

The Bushrangers batted on briefly this morning after resuming at 6-361 before declaring at 8-390 with Jon Holland (6) and Jayde Herrick (1) the not out batsmen.

Left-arm spinner Michael Beer picked up the wicket of Ryan Carters (31) to finish with figures of 3-89, while Craig Simmons had Will Sheridan caught for 35.

WA have 91 overs to chase down the target but will need to maintain a run-rate of more than four an over.

Victoria must take outright victory to remain in the hunt for a place in the Shield final, while a Warriors win will shore up the West Australians hosting the final.
