Victorian opener Rob Quiney has a calf muscle injury and will miss the crucial Sheffield Shield cricket match against Queensland in Brisbane.
The Bushrangers have also dropped spinner Jon Holland for the pace-friendly Gabba, naming a squad of 13 for the match, which starts on Sunday.
Victoria are second last on the Shield table, four points ahead of the Bulls, and badly need a win after two outright losses.
It is the last round of Shield matches before the four-day competition takes a break for the Big Bash League.
Paceman John Hastings and Jake Haberfield return to the squad, along with batsman Marcus Stoinis.
