Vics all out for 319 against SA in Shield

South Australian swing bowler Chadd Sayers has continued his stellar Sheffield Shield season with a six-wicket haul against Victoria in Adelaide.

Sayers claimed 6-49 from 23 overs as the Bushrangers were bowled out for 319 some 35 minutes into Friday’s second day.

Sayers now has 28 Shield wickets this season, more than any other bowler in the competition, with Tasmanian quick Jackson Bird next best with 27 victims.

Sayers snared a further two wickets on Friday after taking four wickets on the opening day.

The 25-year-old dismissed Bushrangers captain Cameron White (13) and Scott Boland for a duck on Friday, while fellow fast bowler Joe Mennie finished with 3-66.

The Victorians were an imposing 2-279 at one stage, but the dismissal of top-scorer Chris Rogers (131) late Thursday triggered a slide as they lost their final seven wickets for just 40 runs.
