Vics all out for 277 in Shield v WA

Victoria were dismissed for 277 on Friday in the first innings of their Sheffield Shield match against Western Australia at the WACA Ground in Perth.

Tailender Jon Holland was the last man to fall, caught behind from the bowling of Nathan Coulter-Nile for one early on the second day of the match.

An unbeaten 42 from Test paceman Peter Siddle helped add some valuable late runs for the Bushrangers after they were 8-220 late on the first day, while opener Rob Quiney top-scored with a gritty 83.

Former Queensland seamer Nathan Rimmington was the best of the WA bowlers with career-best figures of 5-46, with Michael Hogan snaring 4-80.

Ladder-leading WA can close in on a home final with an outright win, while Victoria needs to take some points from the match to stay in the hunt for the final.
