Tasmania have been bowled out for 245 in their first innings early on day two of the Sheffield Shield clash with Queensland at the Gabba.
Cameron Gannon (2-38) needed just nine balls to clean up the tail after the Tigers resumed at 8-236 on Friday morning.
Tasmania recovered from 5-90 after a Ryan Harris-inspired collapse of 3-2 to post a competitive first innings total.
Jon Wells (82) and Tim Paine (42) dug the Tigers out of trouble on Thursday with a 97-run sixth-wicket stand.
Gannon was not a happy man on Thursday when Peter Forrest dropped Wells on seven off his bowling.
But he had no complaints early on Friday when he ensured Tasmania added just nine runs to their overnight total.
Queensland struck with the fifth ball of the day when Luke Butterworth (14) was caught by a diving Luke Pomersbach in the slips off Gannon.
In his next over Gannon had ex-Test seamer Ben Hilfenhaus caught behind by gloveman Chris Hartley for a duck.
Ex-Test paceman Harris finished with 3-85 off 26 overs in an encouraging return to first class cricket.
The Shield game marks the injury-prone quick’s first first class game since Australia’s tour of the West Indies last April.
Harris has finally returned from off-season shoulder surgery.
