Tasmania have a huge battle on their hands to make Queensland bat for a second time in the Sheffield Shield match at Bellerive.
At lunch on day three, the home side were 2-61 in their second innings, still needing another 204 to make the Bulls bat again.
Mark Cosgrove (13) and Ben Dunk (4) are the men out, with Alex Doolan and George Bailey both unbeaten on 20.
Resuming at 8-319, Queensland were bowled out for 360 early in the morning session, a lead of 265 after the Tigers had posted just 95 in their first dig.
The Bulls pace bowlers have found land-mines in a pitch that Tasmania’s bowlers at times struggled on, quick Luke Feldman sending down seven straight maidens in his first spell.
Feldman got the initial breakthrough when he had Cosgrove prodding at delivery outside off-stump and caught brilliantly by diving keeper Chris Hartley at 1-19.
Ben Cutting then removed Ben Dunk lbw for four at 2-25.
Doolan and Bailey have steadied the Tigers in the best batting conditions of the match so far, with blue skies and 22C forecast for Hobart.
Earlier, some lusty hitting from tailenders Nathan Hauritz (27 off 23 balls) and Feldman (14 off 12) frustrated the home side before James Faulkner (4-98) and Luke Butterworth (3-77) finished off the Bulls’ innings.
