Stuart Broad grabs 300th Test scalp

England paceman Stuart Broad has snared his 300th Test wicket, dismissing Chris Rogers with his third delivery of the fourth Ashes Test.

Broad, who started the match on 299 wickets, struck after two minutes on day one at Trent Bridge.

It is the first time in Rogers’ 24-Test career he has been dismissed for a duck.

Steve Smith was also out edging in the first over for six, with Broad making an excellent start to the game.

David Warner was dismissed for a duck in the second over of the day, Mark Wood having the opener caught behind to leave Australia in tatters at 3-10.

England captain Alastair Cook had won the toss and sent Australia in.
