The Adelaide Strikers have signed Australian one-day batsman Callum Ferguson along with Theo Doropoulos and James Smith to bolster the side’s middle order in this summer’s Big Bash League.
Ferguson was named on Monday in the national one-day squad travelling to the United Arab Emirates.
Strikers coach Darren Berry said the batsman would bring class to the Adelaide team.
“Ferg is a massively talented player and I am sure this year we will see the potential that we all know he has, both at a state level and the national team,” he said.
The Strikers will be captained by South African international Johan Botha and have also secured the services of paceman Shaun Tait.
